about

Worker Bees is the first creative collaboration between the brothers Greg and Darren Atkinson, since the days of early Big Heavy Stuff and the earlier and equally-successful Ups & Downs.

With a reformed Ups & Downs having released their long-awaited compilation CD in August, the debut release from Worker Bees is a timely companion piece. A rare opportunity to compare old and new, then and now.

While the 'Bees sound is clearly a product of their previous outfits, it is also refreshingly new and unique. This is pop that is driving, inventive, melancholic and coolly melodic. And live, they carry a big sting!
